Oh, Pirate Dreams

'Yargh,' said the disembodied
pirate head.

'Gasp,' said the dislocated
koi fish.

'Wine,' said the disinterested
bottle of hope.

The Obese Ant

'Duck,' shouted the author,
as the obese ant rocketed past his head.

The obese ant was finally free
of both gravity & guilt.

'Both are simply a matter of persuasion,'
shouted the obese ant.

From the humble clutter of
the nearby floor,

the author considered
a subtle change

in career.

Oh, Desktop Anxiety

The cell phone said,
'Ringtone,' & felt under-appreciated.

The coffee cup said,
'Cooling,' & felt under-funded.

The desk top almost said,
'Shh,' & almost felt under-understood.

In the end,
the desk top spoke its mind

& it simply said,
'Ohm.'
